  I had been very happily working out 4-5 days/week for the last 9 months in functional training classes until recently when I relocated out of state. I was in desperate search of replacing my training and came across F45. I was very pleased to be offered a 2 week trial and so far have attended 5 classes in 6 days. The classes are exactly what I was looking for! I'm familiar with most of the exercise moves but for those I am not, there is a brief instruction before the class from the instructors and then during the class there are video screens throughout the studio looping all of the moves during the class so you can refer to them during your station and before you move onto the next. The instructors are also walking around during the workout reminding you of the moves and encouraging you throughout the workout. I do have some concerns too. The warm up prior to class is very, very brief and there is no organized cool down after class. I do think these are very important for injury prevention. I try to come a little early to class to do my own extended warm up and I stay after to use the foam roller. I would love to see F45 either add yoga classes or partner up with a studio for yoga classes to supplement the hard core cardio and strength training we do all week with them. I know I need a good stretch out a couple of times a week! I would also love to see the morning classes offered at an earlier time slot than the 9:45am I have been attending. I hope an 8:30am time slot is possible so I can get in my workout and get on with my day much quicker! Class availability and cost will be the main factors in whether I decide to continue with F45.

  The owners, Sherri and Chris, are awesome people and really care about their clients as family. I stick to a pretty consistent workout schedule day and time and love all the trainers I have for my classes. They have gotten to know me, my strengths and challenges and get me to maximize my time there. I also really love the people who work out at f45 Woodbury! Everyone encourages and pushes one another in class, we get to know each other and have become good friends with many there. I love this type of training, it's one of the only formats that keep me interested and challenged to come back for more!
